Uses for savoury Jellies
Here are some spring suggestions, all easy to prepare and completely delicious...
- Try neat parcels of feta cheese and cherry tomatoes trussed up in filo pastry with a dollop of cool Ouse Valley Mint Jelly.
- Stuff a plump pork loin with two or three squidgy prunes roughly chopped and a little crumbly Stilton cheese. Wrap in prosciutto and roast for 15 to twenty minutes. Serve thickly sliced with Ouse Valley Rosemary Jelly.
- Marinate salmon fillets in an equal mix of Mirrin, Soya Sauce and Rice Wine Vinegar. Leave for a couple of hours to take up the flavors. Remove from marinade and sear in a pan on both sides for a couple of minutes; add marinade and reduce. Serve with plain rice and Ouse Valley Basil Jelly.
